Connecting.

Accepting.

Growing.

The Experience

At heartblooms, we appreciate and approach stuff with honesty. No 'perfect fix' or overnight transformation promises, because growth can take time. Our approach and methods are carefully curated. They are rooted in kindness and support.

We observe our emotions and the stories behind them, cultivate acceptance, and practice self-awareness. We shift perspectives and develop mindsets that support our wellbeing.

Center.

Transform.

Reflect.

We balance with mindfulness, movement, and moments of stillness — shared or in solitude.

We explore relationship patterns with curiosity, awareness, and honesty.

We pause to reflect, process, and voice our experiences in a healthy setting away from our day-to-day life.

Feel held.

We connect with others in a supportive setting, honouring our boundaries and needs every step of the way.

Nourish.

We feed body and soul with tasty and fresh Mediterranean food that is prepared for us with much heart.

Integrate.

We integrate our insights into our processes, building a foundation for lasting growth and wellbeing.

We’ve chosen our location carefully. Cuatre Finques is a four-star property that meets exceptional standards and is exclusively used for this retreat, offering both community and privacy in the peaceful Spanish countryside of the Costa Blanca. Nestled among mountain views, vineyards, and almond trees, Cuatre Finques is only a 10-minute walk from the nearest town with shops and restaurants and just a 25-minute drive from the coast.

Each room offers flexible arrangements — bookable either as a private room with one double bed or as a shared room with two separate beds. Every room includes air conditioning, a personal safe, a hair dryer, and free Wi-Fi, with some rooms offering terraces or balconies.

The Facilitators

We are two experienced facilitators and coaches who will support you alongside and throughout your retreat journey. We rely on 1,000+ hours of coaching, having supported C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies, diplomats, public servants, activists, parents, and partners. We like kindness, honesty, humbleness. Together, we bring educated, inclusive, and culturally attuned perspectives and competencies.

The Programme

While we embrace mindfulness and delve into self-discovery through journaling, we go deeper. We provide a transformative framework for self-care and navigating the complex emotions of separation. But it’s not all introspection—we ignite moments of joy, explore the beauty of impromptu nature walks, and take many dips in the pool. Think of it as a thoughtful balance between deep introspection and uplifting community moments.

The Methodology

Our conceptual cornerstones, experience design, group facilitation, coaching, and intervention methods are grounded in a rich foundation of knowledge, practice, and research. With years of experience guiding emotionally delicate processes, we integrate insights from trusted thought leaders and evidence-based sources. We believe in hands-on methods that feel practical and real, steering clear of anything too woo-woo.

Self-Compassion

Laura, United States

"I found Martine’s coaching to be absolutely life-changing.  I learned to set boundaries with ease, embrace self-care, and trust myself more deeply.  As a result of her coaching, I have increased confidence, greater stability, and tools that enable me to navigate life’s challenges with more grace and peace."

Anna, Latvia

"Johannes coached me through every stage of my separation from my ex-husband, empowering me to navigate an incredibly challenging stage of my life. The FAQs

  • Who is welcome at this retreat?
All adults are welcome—no matter their gender (identity), sexual orientation or preferences, cultural background, race or ethnicity, spiritual beliefs or practices, relationship status, or other identities defining who they are. We will do whatever we can to ensure an inclusive environment that caters to anyone who is seeking a space to grow and transform in ways that are respectful to themselves, and to those around them.
  • When and where is the next retreat?
Our next retreat is scheduled for June 30 to July 7, 2025 in Xaló (Alicante), Spain.
  • Is there an age limit?
No. We welcome adults of all ages. Inner work is a life-long journey and a diversity of ages only enriches the perspectives and experiences of our participants.
  • Can I attend if I’m currently in a relationship?
Yes. Whether your breakup was recent or long past, whether you’re unsure if it’s time to separate, or whether you’re reflecting on a marriage of decades or a partnership of months, you are welcome at this retreat. Nevertheless, please note that this retreat is designed for individual participation only. While we understand that relational journeys can take many forms, we aren’t able to welcome couples in an effort to maintain the intended dynamic and ensure everyone can focus on their own growth. We appreciate your understanding.
  • Can I attend if I’m already seeing a therapist?
Absolutely. This retreat can complement ongoing therapy by providing a focused, immersive experience. It is not offered as a substitute for psychotherapy or other forms of therapy. It is not designed, and is not intended, for that purpose. Participants may find it builds on the insights and growth they’ve achieved with their therapist. We encourage you to discuss your participation with your therapist before attending. If you are currently taking psychiatric medication, we ask you to first consult with your treating professional before reserving your place.
  • What kind of results can I expect?
Your process and its outcomes depend on where you are currently at, your openness, and your own commitment. Our programming focuses on supporting you in feeling more grounded, resilient, and empowered, and on sharing practical tools to support your personal growth long after the retreat ends. We don't make promises about results, because it would not make sense.
  • Is there support available after the retreat?
Yes. After the retreat, you’ll have access to the retreat community, where you can stay connected with other participants. Participants may also choose to continue with follow-up one-on-one coaching or join group integration sessions to maintain momentum and support ongoing growth.
  • Are children allowed at the retreat?
We understand arranging childcare can be challenging, but to maintain a focused, adult-only environment that supports self-reflection, we’re unable to accommodate children of any ages.
  • Can I bring my animal friends?
In order to ensure everyone’s comfort and well-being, we’re unable to welcome pets at the retreat. If you’ll be bringing a service animal as defined by applicable law, please contact us in advance so we can discuss this with the retreat center and make the necessary arrangements.
  • When and where is the next retreat?
Our next retreat is scheduled for June 30-July 7, 2025 in Xaló (Alicante), Spain.
  • What is the reservation process?
Once you book your spot, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to complete a short intake form and schedule a brief call with us. The form and call help ensure the retreat is the right fit for you and allow us to gather any important information to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
All bookings are final and non-refundable, so please ensure you’re ready and available before reserving your spot. We suggest that you have insurance that covers you in case you need to cancel for health or other emergency reasons. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us beforehand—we’re happy to help. In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by us or the retreat center, you will receive a full refund. However, if the retreat must be cancelled due to force majeure events (including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control), we cannot guarantee full refunds but will make every effort to provide a fair resolution.
  • How many people will take part in the retreat?
The exact number of participants varies depending on everyone's room preferences. We expect eight to twelve participants and limit the retreat to a maximum of 15 participants to ensure an intimate and constructive group dynamic where everyone receives personal attention and can progress at their own pace.
  • How do I get to the retreat location?
Generally, you are responsible for your own transportation, but we’re here to make the process a smooth as possible for you. The retreat center is about one hour from Alicante Airport and around ninety minutes from Valencia Airport. Transfers can be arranged by us for an additional fee. If you prefer to arrive by car, there is parking available free of charge at the retreat center. Once you’re registered, we’ll share detailed travel information and guidance to help ensure a smooth journey.
  • Do I need to have insurance?
Yes, we ask you to have insurance. Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance to cover personal property, health, and any unforeseen incidents during the retreat. By attending, participants assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, or loss they may experience, as well as for any damage—whether intentional or accidental—they cause to materials, property, or venues associated with the retreat.
  • Do you offer financial assistance or payment plans?
We do not currently offer payment plans. However, we may be able to provide limited financial assistance on a case-by-case basis to individuals from underrepresented communities for whom cost is a barrier. While we cannot guarantee support, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your options and explore what might be possible.
  • Can I send someone else to the retreat as a gift?
Yes. Gifting this type of retreat experience can be a meaningful gesture. However, the gift recipient must personally complete the application process to ensure they are interested in this journey and committed to showing up. Even when the gift comes with the best intentions, we consider it our responsability to ensure that this experience feels right to them.
  • If I book a shared double room, can I choose who to share with?
Yes, if you’re attending with a friend, we will ensure you share a room together. If you’re coming on your own, we will carefully pair you with a roommate based on the information provided in your intake form. We take great care in making these matches and do not mix genders unless participants specifically request it.
  • Is the retreat wheelchair accessible?
We strive to make the retreat as accessible as possible. Unfortunately, the venue is not fully wheelchair accessible due to the gravel terrain surrounding the property. While they can accommodate guests who use a wheelchair but can walk short distances, it may not be suitable for those who rely entirely on a wheelchair for mobility. If you have specific accessibility concerns, feel free to reach out to discuss possible accommodations.
  • Are service animals permitted?
Registered service animals may be allowed. Please contact us ahead of time so we can properly accommodate both you and your service animal’s needs.
  • Can you accommodate dietary needs?
Yes, we ask about dietary preferences and needs in our intake form to ensure we can accommodate you as best as possible. Most of the meals served will be vegetarian or vegan, supporting a nourishing and balanced experience. If you have additional dietary requirements, we will discuss them with the retreat center to explore how we can best meet your needs.
  • Is there a laundry service available at the property?
Yes, there is a laundry service of washing & drying, charged per load, in case you need it.
  • What is the code of conduct?
Creating a respectful and inclusive environment is our top priority. Participants are expected to treat others, the venue, and material with kindness, respect, and care.
  • Is full attendance required?
Yes, full attendance is required as each session builds on the previous one, creating a cohesive, supportive experience and transformational journey. That said, we value and honour anyone's personal boundaries and needs—while we encourage full participation to get the most from the programme, no one will ever be pressured to engage in anything they’re not comfortable with.
  • What is your drug policy?
The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited, and participants are required to comply with the laws of Spain. Additionally, we do not serve alcohol during the retreat, as this is a space for clarity, reflection, and deep inner work. Creating an alcohol-free environment supports emotional presence, mindful connection, and the transformative process we aim to foster.
  • How is my privacy protected during the retreat?
Your privacy is important. All participants sign a confidentiality agreement, and no recordings are allowed. We establish clear guidelines on the first day, ensuring a brave and respectful space where personal stories remain within the group.
